Scotch whisky by region
Islay stands for peat smoke and sea air: Lagavulin, Laphroaig, Bowmore, Caol Ila, Bunnahabhain, Kilchoman and Ardnahoe. Campbeltown is Scotland's smallest whisky region and the most sought-after by collectors: Springbank, Hazelburn, Longrow, Kilkerran and Glen Scotia. From Speyside and the Highlands, we stock, among others, Macallan, Glenfarclas, Glenallachie, Benromach, Mortlach, Clynelish, Ben Nevis and Oban. From the islands, we offer Talisker, Torabhaig, Ledaig and Arran.
Independent bottlers: single cask and cask strength
A single cask whisky comes from a single cask and is limited to just a few hundred bottles. Bottled at cask strength, uncolored and non-chill filtered, it shows the character of distillery and cask in an unadulterated way. The best sources for this are independent bottlers, and we carry the most important ones in our range: Cadenhead's, Douglas Laing (Old Particular), Hunter Laing (Old Malt Cask), Signatory, Càrn Mòr and The Stillman's. This gives you bottlings from distilleries such as Glenburgie, Linkwood, Dailuaine or Miltonduff, which are hardly ever available as official bottlings.
Sherry cask, port and bourbon cask
The cask accounts for up to two-thirds of the flavor. Sherry cask whisky from Oloroso or Pedro Ximénez casks brings dried fruit, nuts and chocolate; bourbon casks provide vanilla and honey; port and red wine casks add red berries. In our range you will find over 130 sherry cask bottlings, many of them from single casks.
