Casks: 10% Sherry and 90% Bourbon
Nose: Fresh on the nose, reminiscent of morning dew, pine forest and damp gooseberry bushes, with a hemp, vegetal note developing over time.
Palate: The peat comes to the forefront in the palate with a characteristic sweetness detected in notes of toasted marshmallows and s’ mores, along with hints of lemon drizzle cake and shortbread.
Finish: sees the continuation of the sweet peat influence and the introduction of a salty note and hints of burnt pretzels and fresh green apples.
The Work of Human Hands – S pringbank and the associated sister distillery Kilkerran produce their single malts 100% by hand, traditionally and on site in Campbeltown. As a result of the original methods, only limited production capacity is available. Every Campbeltown single malt whisky from the Springbank family J. & A. Mitchell & Co. Ltd reveals its own style through different distillation stages and smoke intensities. K ilkerran is a lightly peated, double-distilled single malt that is bottled without coloring and without chill filtration.
