Nose:  Notes of spices and floral fruits. Floral and fruity note, purple fruits (elderberry and plums).

Palate:  dense, lush, and superbly balanced. This twelve-year-old Amarone Cask Finish is the perfect combination of a full-bodied red wine and the iconic Hinch Irish Whiskey style. Again with strongly pronounced dark fruits (elderberries, plums, and blackcurrants) followed by sour cherry and red apple, ripe pear components, and an elegant cinnamon spice with a hint of dry red wine.

Finish: very long, dark fruit, malty sweetness.  non-chill-filtered and with no added coloring.

Inspired by the past but created with an eye on the future, Hinch crafts Irish whiskeys that are incredibly smooth yet unmistakably rich and complex. Hinch 12 Years Amarone Finish was matured for 11 years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels and finished for 12 months in the finest 500L Masi Amarone casks. This gives the whisky its golden-red hue.   Hinch whiskeys combine the best of Irish and Scottish whiskey culture: they impress with the traditional smoothness of classic Irish triple distillation and a full, powerful body known from Scottish whiskies. Hinch Craft & Casks Imperial Stout Finish now offers a whole new flavor profile: whiskey that matured to perfection in craft beer casks, creating an unusual and unique marriage of Ireland’s two national drinks, beer and whiskey. The casks from Ireland’s Whitewater Brewery previously held their "Kreme de la Kremlin," a full-bodied Imperial Stout with 10.5% vol. characteristicallles. CHARACTER whisky.

County Down, the county where the distillery is located, has been of great importance to whiskey production since the Middle Ages as a melting pot between Irish and Scottish culture. This cultural connection inspires the founder to produce a special whiskey that combines the best of both whiskey traditions: the smoothness of Irish whiskey due to triple distillation and the boldness of Scotch.
