Nose: A bold introduction to this dram, with notes of caramel, treacle and sticky toffee pudding. Creamy chocolate liqueur and hints of ginger add to the punchy nose.

Palate: A triple distilled dram with a robust palate, with notes of creamy marzipan, prunes and choux pastry, balanced by a bitterness reminiscent of dark chocolate.

Finish: A creamy mouthfeel with hints of sandalwood and liquorice round off this dram.

Hazelburn: An exceptionally elegant example of its kind and the third of the distinguished Springbanks is Hazelburn. First bottled in 1997, this fine single malt is made with air-dried malt and is unpeated. It passes through the copper stills three times for distillation. The result is light and fruity: a subtle malt that, in its successful combination, seems to further refine the different flavour nuances, and it is available in 10- and 12-year-old expressions. The Work of Human Hands – Springbank and its sister distillery Kilkerran produce their single malts 100% by hand, traditionally and on site in Campbeltown. As a result of the original methods, only limited production capacity is available. Every Campbeltown single malt whisky from the Springbank family J. & A. Mitchell & Co. Ltd reveals its own style through different distillation stages and levels of smokiness. Kilkerran is a lightly peated, double-distilled single malt that is bottled without coloring or chill filtration.
