Taste: relatively fresh with a warm, woody presence
Finish: satisfying cherry note
The Barbancourt family – originally from Bordeaux – began distilling in 1862. The current distillery was founded in 1949. In 1990, the still method was replaced by continuous distillation. Fermentation lasts 72 hours and only locally grown sugar is used.
