Nose: smoke, a little peat, raisins, and pleasantly woody.
Palate: powerful and peaty with delicious notes of balsamic vinegar, pink pepper, acacia honey, chamomile, and a subtle hint of bay leaf.
Finish: very well balanced with earthy notes and a slight bitterness.
Boulet de Canon No.12 gets its smoky aroma from maturation in a cask that previously held an Islay whisky.
The base for this is 3-5-year-old column still rums from Panama and Nicaragua.
