One of the oldest distilleries in Scotland and the oldest running distillery on Islay, Bowmore was established in 1779 by David Simpson. This 10-year-old bottling, fully matured in Bourbon barrels, displays notes of mango, candle smoke, grilled pineapple, icing sugar and cinnamon sticks.
William Cadenhead’s Ltd, Wine and Spirits Merchants, is Scotland’s oldest independent bottler, founded in 1842, and since 1972 part of the renowned J & A Mitchell & Co. Ltd, the owner of Springbank and Glengyle Distillery. Cadenhead’s has built a famous name with single cask and small batch bottlings of single malt Scotch whisky, rum, cognac and gin, and has always stood for the highest quality while pursuing the goal “it’s what is inside the bottle that counts”. Cadenhead’s places great importance on presenting the authentic character of the distillery, with no chill filtration and no added colouring. Cadenhead’s is proud to mature and bottle its entire portfolio on site in Campbeltown, the former whisky capital of the world.
