Created according to the personal specifications of the founder and *Chairman Stewart Laing, who sadly passed away recently*, Chairman’s Selection is the _smokiest Ardnahoe edition to date_ and, for the first time, combines strictly limited stocks of an intensely peated Ardnahoe Single Malt that had previously remained under wraps – *The Most Heavily Peated Ardnahoe Ever Released*. 

This sherry-led edition matured for six years in a carefully balanced _cask composition of Oloroso sherry casks, rare first-fill PX quarter casks, and first-fill bourbon casks._ 

This one-time release is a *tribute to Stewart H. Laing* and a powerful interpretation of Ardnahoe’s unmistakable character, while preserving the _balance, complexity, and elegance_ for which the distillery is known. 

Each bottle also contains a *personal letter from Stewart Laing* himself, giving collectors an exceptional insight into the history of Ardnahoe as well as the creation and philosophy of this special edition 

Most Heavily Peated Ardnahoe Ever Released –  6 Year Old

This strictly limited Heavily Peated edition was selected with the utmost care according to the personal vision of founder Stewart Laing(  sadly passed away recently )  – a major premiere for the Islay distillery, as the limited Heavily Peated stocks had previously not been accessible. This special edition matured for six years in an exceptional cask combination of 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads, rare 1st Fill PX Quarter Casks, and Refill Bourbon Barrels. The heavily peated peat profile delivers a powerful Ardnahoe smoky experience that combines the classic, elegant Islay style with opulent sherry aromas. The edition stands out for its intense color as well as its layered aromatic profile, shaped by the dominant maturation in Oloroso and PX casks with fruity-sweet sherry notes and a balanced spice.

Over more than six decades, Stewart Laing shaped the whisky world with passion, experience, and visionary entrepreneurship. In 2013, together with his sons, he founded the independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co Ltd, from which successful and internationally acclaimed series such as Old & Rare and Old Malt Cask emerged. The great dream of having his own Islay distillery came true in 2018 with the founding of the Islay distillery Ardnahoe. One of the last significant milestones of his career was 10 May 2024, when Stewart Laing signed the first releases of his own Islay Single Malt in Edinburgh – the Ardnahoe Inaugural Release. This special moment not only became a milestone in his career, but also perhaps its proudest chapter.
