Laing and his sons Scott and Andrew buy only the highest-quality casks from Scotland’s most sought-after distilleries and allow them to mature and be bottled according to their own ideas: every cask has its own character, giving the bottled Scotch whiskies a unique flavor and the connoisseur a special tasting experience. Based on decades of experience, the master blender, with support from the tasting panel, samples dozens of casks from Hunter Laing’s warehouses and selects a few casks each month that are at the peak of maturation.
