Trinidad Rum and Caroni

For collectors, Trinidad rum means above all one name: Caroni. The state-owned distillery closed in 2002, and the remaining casks were bought up by Velier and independent bottlers. Every bottle is a finite good, and prices have been rising for years. Caroni is typically marked by bold notes of tar, diesel, leather, and dark fruit.

Alongside Caroni, we carry single casks from the Angostura distillery, which today defines the island’s rum, bottled by Compagnie des Indes, Rum Nation, and Transcontinental Rum Line. You can find more from the Caribbean in our rum rarities.
