Tequila: Blanco, Reposado, Añejo

Authentic tequila comes from Jalisco and the surrounding regions of Mexico and is distilled exclusively from Blue Weber agave. Blanco is bottled unaged and shows the agave in its pure form: peppery, citrusy, mineral. Reposado ages for at least two months in oak barrels, Añejo for at least one year, and Extra Añejo for over three years. With each stage, vanilla, caramel, and wood are added. Don Julio stands for an elegant highland style, Gran Orendain for traditional family production in Jalisco, Topanito for honest tequila at a fair price, Sierra Milenario and Antiguo for the premium line of a well-known brand.

Mezcal and sotol: smoky and artisanal

Mezcal may be made from over 30 agave varieties, usually Espadín, and is traditionally roasted in earthen pits. Hence the typical smoke. Our Ajal Mezcal from Durango is distilled from wild Cenizo agave and is one of the last bottles in the range. Sotol, the brother from Chihuahua, is not made from agave but from the desert spoon plant and is even rarer.
