The family-owned and sustainably managed Tepecoste Ranch, which has existed since 1842, is known as one of the best agave regions in all of Mexico – the water for distillation is drawn directly from the Rivera de Tequila – the Orendain distillery is the first distillery the Rivera de Tequila flows past and is already in its 4th generation – the agaves for the Gran Orendain Extra Anjeo are matured for at least 12 years – then the piñas (agave hearts) are slowly steamed for 48 hours – triple distilled – aged twice as long and at least 3 years in oak barrels – currently up to 5 years (American oak)
