Nose: Salted caramel, creamy vanilla, stewed apples, salty sea air

Palate: Burnt sugar, sweet vanilla notes, warming cinnamon, spicy, nutmeg.

Finish: long, spicy, dried orange peel

Warming spices, delicate fruit notes, sticky caramel. With the 12-year-old Glen Scotia Seasonal Release 2021, the Campbeltown distillery presents a strictly limited edition that matured for 11 years in First Fill Bourbon Casks and American Oak Hogsheads, before receiving its 12-month finish in First Fill Oloroso Hogsheads and heavily charred American Oak barrels. The single malt was then bottled at cask strength and is strictly limited. As is well known, alongside Springbank with Longrow & Hazelburn and Kilkerran, Glen Scotia Distillery is one of the last three distilleries from the Campbeltown region. The town looks back on an eventful past as a former centre of whisky production. Glen Scotia distillery is located on the Kintyre peninsula, more precisely in Campbeltown. In 1832, the distillery was founded by Steward, Galbraith & Co. under the name Scotia Distillery and has had an eventful history ever since.
With its lively backdrop and the rugged Atlantic breeze, this coastal town has something magical about it. "Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea, my desire is always to be here ..." Paul McCartney sings of the desire to always remain on this peninsula. Presumably, it is not only the mystical allure of the landscape that is a good reason for this - but also the unique single malt produced here.

Taste Creamy vanilla and brown sugar are balanced by warm spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Long, nutty finish with dried orange peel and gentle warming spice.
