Single cask whiskies are undoubtedly something special and always manage to surprise even seasoned fans of a distillery. Thanks to a portfolio of around 50,000 casks, clever cask management, and the talent of Billy Walker, The GlenAllachie pulls off this feat regularly. To the delight of discerning connoisseurs, the range of rarities now grows with the GlenAllachie 2011/2022 - Ruby Port Pipe.
 
The single cask for the German market is elegantly packaged: the outside of the gift box is embossed in gold and hand-numbered, while the inside is lined with velvet. The Speyside single malt, limited to 825 bottles, matured in a dark-fruity Ruby Port Pipe from February 2011. Bottled at cask strength, it unfolds delicious notes of berry fruits, nutty caramel, and roasted coffee beans.

The Ruby Port Pipe 2011/2022 symbolically represents the complex fruity diversity of The GlenAllachie. For over 11 years, the Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky rested in the cask of the same name. Ruby-style port is aged for a comparatively short time in wooden casks. This allows it to retain its fruit-forward, sweet profile with notes of berries and cherries, which have also left delicious traces in this single cask from The GlenAllachie. A maximum of 874 connoisseurs can look forward to this full-bodied exclusive bottling.

Founded in 1967, The GlenAllachie Distillery was for a long time owned by foreign corporations. In 2017, The GlenAllachie Distillers Company bought the distillery in Speyside - including the filled casks in the warehouse. Its owners: the long-standing Scottish whisky authority Billy Walker and his partners Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson. The team was introduced to the distillery's special features by long-serving employees. Among them: the distillery has four stills and two separate spirit safes - and can therefore produce two different distillates in parallel, for example peated and unpeated new make.

Until now, The GlenAllachie Distillery produced almost exclusively for blended whiskies. Single malt, on the other hand, was extremely rarely available, for example through independent bottlers. This changed in 2017 with the takeover by Billy Walker's team. Age statements are important to The GlenAllachie for its single malts: the core range consists of 10, 12, 18, and 25-year-old whiskies. In addition, regular single cask and special releases are planned - and from 2018 even a peated whisky.

Around 50,000 different casks are stored in the warehouses of the GlenAllachie Distillery. Master of this wooden treasure is Billy Walker - co-owner of the distillery, Master Distiller, and industry icon with around 50 years of experience. Whatever he composes or selects promises the highest enjoyment. This is also true of a single cask - exclusively for the German market.
