The Cdi Rum Trinidad ( Caroni Distillery ) 22YO Single Cask Rum comes from the legendary Caroni distillery, which is highly sought after by collectors worldwide. It spent half of its maturation time in an ex-Single Malt cask! Caroni rums are known for their unique aroma profiles: extremely intense and heavy notes of oil and tar. This Caroni is no exception: the nose reveals notes of hot peat, some malt and liquorice, accompanied by patchouli, rose and geraniums. On the palate, sweet and fruity notes of mirabelle come through, followed by BBQ aromas and peat. Its finish is heavy and long-lasting with bitter spice notes.
