Taste: initially pronounced spice aromas, then subtler notes of ripe fruit and fruit brandies
Finish: animalic and earthy with a hint of gentian spirit, which gives it a fine, robust character

This Australian 11-year-old Single Cask is very expressive and rich in distinct spice aromas, followed by subtler notes of ripe fruit and fruit brandies. Distilled in 2007, it was bottled in 2019.

Hardly anyone here thinks of Australia as a rum-producing country – even though there are indeed a few distilleries for sugarcane spirit Down Under. Unfortunately, we cannot reveal which one supplied the base rum for this exciting spirit. But once you have tasted it, you may well become more interested in Australian distilleries anyway.
Rather than simply copying an existing rum style, this Australian gem stands completely on its own: fresh, light notes with exciting fruitiness caress the nose and then the palate as well, and it appears feather-light and smooth. Its gentle notes of cherry and white blossom are almost more reminiscent of a full-bodied white wine than of a rum. An exciting distillate that enriches any bar or home bar, both in terms of origin and taste.
