Nose clearly pronounced ash notes, caramel, grilled meat, glowing tobacco.

Palate: initially very smoky, peaty and rich, but also very balanced, notes of oregano, thyme, rosemary, dried straw, roasted malt.

Finish long-lasting, rich and marked by ash. reminiscent of meat grilled over a campfire.

The 13th release in the 'Boulet de Canon' series gets its gunpowder aroma - like all rums numbered with odd numbers - from the influence of a whisky cask.
In this case, the blend of Nicaragua- and Panama rums first matures in former whisky casks and is then infused with smoked hay for 24 hours.
This special production gives the rum notes of ash, grilled meat and glowing tobacco, rounded off by a hint of caramel.  The finish is long-lasting and faintly reminiscent of a campfire over which a piece of meat was grilled.   The Boulet de Canon series enters its 13th round and, of course, the gunpowder aroma is once again the focus here!  The base rum (a blend from Nicaragua and Panama) was aged in peaty ex-malt whisky casks and then smoked with hay for 48 hours.
