Nose: fresh pear, spices, vanilla, violet, rounded

Palate: smooth and fruity, nutty, lightly floral 

Finish : vanilla, honey, bold spices.  creamy texture is vaguely reminiscent of whisky.

 
This drop comes from Maison Tessendier in France. Cognac Park Borderies was matured in expensive Mizunara oak casks. It smells wonderfully of fresh pears, spices, vanilla, and floral aromas of violet. On the palate, the cognac is nutty with notes of honey, vanilla, and stewed fruit.

In fact, Mizunara oak from Japan is better known in the whisky scene. There, fine spirits are allowed to mature further in the expensive casks made from the brittle wood, often revealing previously unknown, exceptional aromas. For the very first time worldwide, a cognac producer is daring to try this process: Maison Tessendier. It produces the finest cognac, made 100% from the proven Cognac region of Borderies. It matures for 4 years in French oak casks whose wood comes from the Limousin forest. Then the fine brandy is filled into the precious Mizunara casks, where it rests for 6 months.
