With the “Old Malt Cask” series, Hunter Laing is one of Scotland’s best-known and most renowned single cask bottlers. Stewart H. Laing and his sons Scott and Andrew therefore buy only the highest-quality casks from Scotland’s most sought-after distilleries and let them mature and be bottled according to their own ideas: because every cask has its very own character, giving the bottled Scotch whiskies a unique taste and the connoisseur a special tasting experience. Based on decades of experience, the master blender, with the support of the tasting panel, samples dozens of casks from HunterLaing’s warehouses and selects a few casks each month that are at the peak of maturity.
