Nose palate: Intense peat smoke, vanilla, salted caramel, as well as stone fruit, date, plum,  subtle roasted nuts, spice blend.ä, citrus and coastal freshness, warming spice notes,  rich sweetness and the character of dried fruits brought by the Marsala finish.

Cask maturation(s): Initial maturation in ex-bourbon casks and a finishing period of over 30 months in the exclusive Marsala cask. Whisky at the Edge of Empire.

From the world-famous whisky island of Islay comes the most exciting Uniquely Islay series to date! Uniquely Islay 2025 "An-T-Earrach" means "spring" in Gaelic and presents new experimental single casks, innovative full cask maturations - Sauternes, Moscatel - and, for the first time, exceptionally long cask finishes.  

The single casks of the Uniquely Islay Series An T-Earrach 2025 showcase a diversity never seen before and were personally selected by Hanseatische during this year's visit to Islay. The single cask collection is driven by the craftsmanship and outstanding cask management of the farm distillery Kilchoman and represents Kilchoman's experimental spirit. Different cask types, vintages, and peat levels are presented at natural cask strength. Each cask is numbered with the release number I-VI, hand-numbered, and provided with a short tasting note from the distiller. This year, among others, we can look forward to the single cask Kilchoman 2019 Muscatel with full cask maturation in the finest Moscatel casks, which are famous for their intense fruit character of dark berries and grapes. A particular highlight is the Calvados single cask, one of founder Anthony Wills's favorite casks, and it holds a special place in this year's Uniquely Islay series. After ten years of maturation in bourbon casks, Anthony Wills opted for a three-year finish in Calvados casks, allowing intense aromas of fresh fruit, green apple, and honey sweetness to unfold. Made from the estate-grown farm barley from 2013 (20ppm, the #1100% Islay Malt matured for 11 years in a bourbon cask and represents a classic Islay style of citrus notes, the typically floral note of the farm barley, and sweet vanilla.
