Palate: Warm ripe figs, sweet cherries, luxurious, powerful sherry cask and subtle Arran character.
Finish: Long, spicy with a hint of pink pepper, hazelnuts and toasted oak. Elegant.

Arran The Bodega has matured entirely in ex-sherry casks and been bottled at cask strength. The end result is a high-quality single malt whisky with a rich and complex sherry character. The island of Arran is both breathtakingly beautiful and unique. With its mountains, lowlands, glens, lochs, and royal castles, it embodies the entire landscape of Scotland and is affectionately called "Scotland in miniature" .The Isle of Arran Distillery was built in 1 994 at the foot of the village of Lochranza. On June 29, 1 995, the first spirit flowed from the stills, bringing legal distilling back to Arran after more than 150 years. This distillery was the first in a new generation of distilleries in the 90s. Since that day in June 1 995, when the first cask was filled, Arran has produced first-class unpeated single malt whisky, which has earned international recognition through numerous gold medals. The latest chapter in its whisky history on the island began in June 2019, when its second distillery in Lagg in the south of Arran opened its doors to the public and began producing heavily peated whisky in Arran's characteristic style. Almost 25 years after the whisky distillery in Lochranza started, Isle of Arran Distillers are now the proud owners and operators of two very different and unique distilleries on the island of Arran.
