Molasses-based, Pot Still, Mark MDR*

Nose: dominated by adhesive, then expands into a pleasant medicinal note and hints of apple, pear, semi-ripe pineapple, vanilla, nutmeg, smoke, allspice and bitter almond. 

Palate:  light, with notes of camphor, menthol, young wood, pear cooked in white wine, chalk and slightly burnt moments.

Finish: marked by menthol, apple and pear. 

The single cask was then matured for a full 15 years in an ex-bourbon cask  — 13 of them tropical in Jamaica.  Uncolored and unsweetened, Bellamy's Reserve Rum Clarendon 2007 was then bottled at 52% alcohol by volume in 292 bottles. 

This Bellamy's Reserve Single Cask is a light pot still rum with the MDR* mark, which matured for a full 15 years in ex-bourbon casks — 13 of them tropical in Jamaica. It is naturally uncolored, unsweetened, and was bottled at 52% vol. in 292 bottles. Like many Clarendons, this rum needs some time in the glass to fully develop!
