 Old, Vatted, Velier: Authentic new releases from rum pioneer Velier are known in the rum scene as a pioneer of authentic experiences.

Papalin is a project dedicated exclusively to rum blends. For maximum authenticity, the blends are created from various pot stills in close cooperation with local producers and mature tropically in the warehouses of the distilleries involved.

Now the series returns with two five-year-old Jamaican high-ester rums. The Papalin 5 y.o. – 47% vol. is a smooth experience that combines vanilla and lemon with herbal notes, while pineapple, banana, and a hint of licorice add depth. The overproof version, the Papalin 5 y.o. – 57 % vol., is rich and powerful. Medicinal notes meet roasted pineapple, fresh herbs, ginger, and full notes of rice here.

Both varieties were blended from three types of rum: rum from Worthy Park (WPL marque) with an ester content of 60 to 120 g/hlpa, Long Pond rum (STCE marque) with an ester content of 550 to 700 g/hlpa, and rum from Hampden Estate (C<>H marque) with an ester content of 1.300 to 1.400 g/hlpa.
