We are very pleased to announce the launch of the new single cask series "Glen Scotia Classic Series". The "Classic Series" presents special single cask rarities in the upscale premium bottle, which is only used for special occasions.

The Campbeltown distillery Glen Scotia opens its blue doors and offers a rare glimpse of its most hidden treasures. We are delighted to present the first collection of the new single cask series: Glen Scotia Classic Series.

The single cask series represents the classic Victorian style with rare peated stocks and special cask maturations from the Glen Scotia Distillery. Unveil the rarest Treasure behind the blue doors of Campbeltown.

For the Classic Series, Keeper of the Quaich Peter Greve and Managing Director Stephan Ehmke, together with Master Distiller Iain McAlister, selected special rarities from behind the famous blue doors of the Glen Scotia dunnage warehouses. The premium design presentation of the bottles bears the personal signature of Iain McAlister. Look forward to the historic Campbeltown style, carefully curated personally by Iain McAlister.

Classic Series No. 1 includes five single cask bottlings, three of them peated styles from the rare peated stocks that are only released occasionally. Glen Scotia produces peated liquid only one month a year, which is why the distillery's peated editions are a rarity.  Glen Scotia Classic Series – Unveil the rarest Treasure behind the blue doors of Campbeltown – Exclusive Single Cask Releases – Rare Peated Stock. Single cask series: Glen Scotia Classic Series, Motto: Unveil the rarest Treasure behind the blue doors of Campbeltown, Premium GS bottle and premium gift packaging, Rare peated stocks, maturation: in the distillery's dunnage warehouse, Cask strength & natural color, Exciting value for money.

The Classic Series includes three rare peated single casks with different peated variations: Heavily Peated 2014, Medium Peated 2011 & Heavily Peated 2016.

In addition to the three peated editions, we present two exciting cask maturations: Glen Scotia Vintage 2017 refined in the popular Pedro Ximénez casks, as well as Glen Scotia Vintage 2017 with a powerful 1st Fill Bordeaux red wine finish.

The rare peated malts combine the distillery's classic maritime style with intense smoky aromas and warming spice. The high-quality premium design bottle and the radiant blue of the gift packaging evoke the blue doors of the dunnage warehouses. The editions were bottled in their natural color and without chill filtration, as well as at natural cask strength.

Glen Scotia – The prevailing Spirit of Campbeltown:

Campbeltown is one of Scotland's best-known whisky regions and was once known as the Victorian whisky capital, with 30 distilleries. From the famous harbor in Campbeltown, Campbeltown whisky was shipped all over the world. Today, only three distilleries remain in Campbeltown – and Glen Scotia is one of them. Glen Scotia preserves the traditional style of Campbeltown malts and impresses with lots of fruit, oiliness & maritime notes.

Glen Scotia Distillery embodies the unmistakable spirit of the Victorian whisky capital of Campbeltown.  tells a story from along the coast of Kintyre, especially during the whisky boom of the 1800s. A floral and delicate pleasure, as extraordinary as the legends that shape the region.   On the Kintyre peninsula, more precisely in Campbeltown, the Glen Scotia distillery is located. In 1832, the distillery was founded by Steward, Galbraith & Co. under the name Scotia Distillery and has had an eventful history ever since.
With its lively scenery and the rough Atlantic breeze, this coastal town has something magical about it. "Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea, my desire is always to be here ..." Paul McCartney sings of the desire to always remain on this peninsula. Presumably, it's not only the mystical appeal of the landscape that's a good reason for this – but also the unique single malt produced here.
