In 2005, Anthony Wills, as the first founder of a distillery on the Isle of Islay in 124 years, had a visionary goal: to revive the original craft of “farm distilling.” To this day, he relies on the fertile soils around the Kilchoman community for his own barley cultivation as well as on the quality of the incomparable Islay peat shaped by the Atlantic.
