It was opened in 1995 and is the only distillery on the island. It specializes in single cask bottlings in special casks, e.g. Calvados, Champagne. 

The Plantation Single Cask Rums are limited editions of double-matured Haute Couture Rums. These fine spirits first mature in former bourbon casks in a tropical climate, before receiving their finish in ex-Ferrand casks made of French oak. This takes place in southwestern France. Alexandre Gabriel, who was awarded the title of world’s best master blender in 2012, always selects the casks for the second maturation very carefully. Before that, they mostly held wine, another type of spirit, or even beer. The type of cask used is selected individually for each rum in order to highlight its unique character. Only a few versions of Plantation rums are produced each year, making them true collector’s items.
