The Work of Human Hands – S pringbank and its sister distillery Kilkerran produce their single malts 100% by hand, traditionally and locally in Campbeltown. As a result of the original methods, only limited production capacities are available. Each Campbeltown single malt whisky from the Sp ringbank family J. & A. Mitchell & Co. Ltd reveals its own style through different distillation levels and peat intensities. K ilkerran is a lightly peated, double-distilled single malt bottled without colouring or chill filtration.  The Glengyle distillery was founded in 1873 by William Mitchell and produced a typical Campbeltown malt before apparently closing its doors forever in 1925. Then in 2004 came the reopening – once again by the descendants of the Mitchells. Since then, lightly peated whiskies have been produced here under the Kilkerran label. The malt is sourced from the sister distillery S pringbank.
