For our fifth special edition, we embarked on an exciting journey between fire and ice – to Iceland. We had an adventurous time in which we were not only able to admire the country's breathtaking natural beauty, but also dive deep into its (sometimes crazy) distillation culture and mysterious botanicals.

As a result, we produced our VATNAJÖKULL Edition on site together with Hakon from Hovdenak Distillery on his unique vacuum still in Reykjavik, Iceland – naturally with local ingredients such as Arctic thyme, Icelandic moss, reindeer lichen, black crowberry, and kelp algae, which we carefully handpicked during our journey.

Thanks to the Icelandic expertise of our local friends, the volcano-filtered water, and the local botanicals, we succeeded in developing a unique recipe and bringing our impressions and experiences together in 500ml.

Of course, we once again placed great importance on the right bottle design. The front is adorned with an illustration by the Icelandic artist Hlíf Una, and the corks once again offer a collectible character with their customized tokens (there are 2 variants).

As every year, our special edition is strictly limited to 3,000 bottles. With part of the proceeds, we support an Icelandic nature conservation organization that works locally to protect the glaciers.
