PERRO 55 THE BEST - HANDMADE Legends say that in early Mexico, Chihuahuas were not only considered sacred animals, but were worshipped by Aztec chiefs for their glowing eyes and round heads, and even accompanied them to the grave. The animal was meant to show them the way through the underworld to paradise. The small Chihuahua is instinctively selective about whom it gives its affection to. Once it has chosen, it becomes deeply attached to its favorite and remains loyal forever. Its nature is lively, brave, and restless. It cheekily and fearlessly stands up even to the greatest rivals. By the way, Perro means dog.

The family-owned Tepecoste Ranch, sustainably managed since 1842, is known as one of the best agave regions in all of Mexico – the water for distilling is sourced directly from the Rivera de Tequila – Orendain Distillery is the first distillery along the Rivera de Tequila and is already in its 4th generation – the agaves for Gran Orendain Extra Anjeo are matured for at least 12 years – then the piñas (agave hearts) are slowly steam-cooked for 48 hours – triple-distilled – aged twice as long and for at least 3 years in wooden barrels – currently up to 5 years (American oak)
