Nose: complex, multi-layered, Jamaica, Trinidad, licorice-like sweetness, wood. 

Palate:  Sweetness, plum, dark chocolate, leather, wood, hint of menthol 

Finish: apricot, citrus.

The alcohol is integrated outstandingly harmoniously.

Navy blends have earned an excellent reputation, especially through the exciting exploration of the history of the legendary Black Tot Rum. What makes this special type of rum so captivating is the combination of different countries and their respective styles, resulting in remarkable complexity.  

In December 2022, a rum was launched under the brand name HQNB - High Quality Navy Blend - Edition No. 31. This exquisite cuvee not only caused a major stir, but also received outstanding reviews. Due to the limited quantity, we were often asked whether we could bring such an edition to life again. We hereby confirm: yes, we can! We proudly present Edition 55.  

The complexity of this rum is overwhelming; a long-lasting finish delivers a finale that gladly stretches on for more than an hour and captivates the connoisseur.

Exceptional cask components and a masterful rum created in the cask - an experience you should definitely not miss! The youngest component comes from Hampden (10 years), while the oldest components are as much as 34 years old and bring bold spicy notes from Guyana. 

The previous one: The superbly integrated alcohol content of just under 49% vol. ensures a full-bodied drinking experience. Navy Blend Next Generation. This intense and complex blend consists of rum varieties from Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad, and Barbados. The oldest portion matured for a full 26 years in the cask, the youngest portion for at least 3 years. This unique single cask blend was created in our Jamaica, Hampden 1990 cask, where it was allowed to mature and rest for several months until all components were finally perfectly balanced and an incredibly harmonious overall profile emerged. The rum is bottled at 48.9% vol. and 0.6g sugar per liter.
