Benromach Distillery:, from the small town of Forres. About halfway between Inverness and Elgin in the north of Scotland. The distillery was founded in 1898 and began distilling whisky about two years later. Production was stopped in 1983. After Gordon & MacPhail bought the distillery in 1993, it underwent an extensive renovation. Since 1998, the distillery has once again been producing whiskies to the delight of whisky fans. Benromach's range includes Single Malt Scotch Whiskies of various ages as well as limited special editions such as Single Cask and Cask Strength bottlings.

Benromach Distillery The Benromach distillery, originally built in 1898, was brought back to life when the Urquhart family (owners of Gordon & McPhail) fulfilled a lifelong dream and bought their own distillery in 1993. The distillery was extensively rebuilt over a period of five years before being officially opened in 1998 by HRH The Duke of Rothesay. The vision was to create a handmade single malt whisky with classic Speyside character: beautifully balanced with a slight hint of peat, as it was before the 1960s. Benromach Distillery is located on the edge of the old market town of Forres. The golden single malts fulfill Benromach's quality promise, using only four ingredients: the finest Scottish barley, pure spring water from the Romach Hills, yeast, and the expertise of the distillers. Each cask is filled, weighed, and labeled by hand before its contents mature to optimum perfection over many years in the traditional dunnage warehouse. The small team of distillers relies entirely on its expertise and senses. Only when the whisky meets the high quality standards of the family-run Benromach distillery is it bottled. Benromach also describes this high level of craftsmanship with its slogan: Made by hand for genuine character. 5020613093430
