The family business Hunter Laing has made a name for itself above all in the single cask bottling segment, alongside the opening of the Ardnahoe Distillery on the island of Islay. With the "Old Malt Cask" series, Hunter Laing is among Scotland's best-known and most respected single cask bottlers. To achieve this, Stewart H. Laing and his sons Scott and Andrew purchase only the highest-quality casks from Scotland's most sought-after distilleries and have them matured and bottled according to their own vision: each cask has its own distinct character, giving the bottled Scotch whiskies a unique flavor and the connoisseur a special tasting experience. Drawing on decades of experience, the master blender, with the support of the tasting panel, samples dozens of casks from Hunter Laing's warehouses and selects just a few each month that are at the peak of their maturation.
