Among the single cask bottlings in the Solist series, Kavalan Solist Rum is one of the rarest variants. Only a few especially good rum casks are allowed to house the Kavalan spirit for some years. This great gift box was created for the Year of the Dragon. The gift set is color-coordinated with the color of the whisky. The color gold also symbolises prosperity. The box shows sunlight shining on fertile plains, and the pot stills evoke the distillation process. This creates a festive overall impression that highlights the atmosphere of the New Year celebration. Kavalan Solist Rum Cask matures in selected Latin American rum casks, which give the whisky aromas of syrup, tropical fruits, and spices. Kavalan Port Oak matures in selected first fill port wine casks. It is the influence of the Portuguese sweet wine that gives this whisky its smooth and sweet character. This is not a Kavalan Solist Port; the miniatures are bottled from a vat of several casks with a uniform 54 % vol.
