With the “Old Malt Cask” series, Hunter Laing is one of Scotland’s best-known and most prestigious single cask bottlers. Stewart H. Laing and his sons Scott and Andrew buy only the highest-quality casks from Scotland’s most sought-after distilleries and let them mature and bottle them according to their own vision: every cask has its own character, giving the bottled Scotch whiskies a unique flavor and the connoisseur a special tasting experience. Based on decades of experience, the master blender, with support from the tasting panel, samples dozens of casks from Hunter Laing’s warehouses and selects only a few casks each month that are at the peak of maturation.
