Kilchoman Family Casks. Following the highly successful presentation of the unique Kilchoman Anniversary Casks for the 20th anniversary, Islay's Farm Distillery is unveiling a strictly limited series for the first time: the Kilchoman Family Casks – a collection of rare age statements from the oldest stocks yet from the farm distillery, personally curated by the founding Wills family. Each expression was individually selected by the five members of the Wills family – a significant collection that reflects personal preferences, shared passion, and the ever-evolving character of Kilchoman. The premiere release of the Kilchoman Family Casks includes four expressions, with one major highlight and the presentation of the oldest Kilchoman release: Kilchoman 20 Years, the oldest release from the distillery to date. The series represents the growing influence of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks, with increasing maturation time and an ever greater level of maturity.
Premiere: Kilchoman Family Casks – Rare Collection 2026
Nestled between expansive sandy beaches and Islay's rugged beauty lies Kilchoman Farm Distillery. For the first release of the Family Casks, each individual expression was personally selected by the five members of the founding family. The series comprises four limited curated cask compositions from rare single casks. Among them is the 14-year-old Rockside Barley edition, distilled in 2011 from the distillery's own farm-grown barley, cultivated on Kilchoman's Rockside Farm and malted on site, with a phenol level of 20 ppm. The collection is complemented by an 11-year full maturation in an Oloroso sherry cask, as well as the 18- and 20-year editions made from Kilchoman's signature heavily peated barley (50 ppm), sourced from Port Ellen Maltings on Islay.
Premium design: Visually, too, the new series underscores its exclusive character. The four releases are presented in a high-quality gift box in radiant Kilchoman blue, giving the Family Cask Collection a timeless appearance.
