Nose: Fully ripe berries and intense cherries, followed by heather honey, caramelized pine nuts, and roasted coffee beans.
 
Taste: fruit-forward, sweet profile with notes of berries and cherries, full-bodied with heather honey, caramelized apples, black fruits, and hints of cherry as well as sweet-and-tart Red Velvet Cake and cinnamon.

The Ruby Port Pipe 2011/2022 symbolically represents the complex, fruity diversity of The GlenAllachie. The Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky rested in the cask of the same name for over 11 years. Ruby-style port is aged for a comparatively short time in wooden casks. This allows it to retain its fruit-forward, sweet profile with notes of berries and cherries, which have also left delicious traces in this Single Cask from The GlenAllachie. A maximum of 874 connoisseurs can look forward to this full-bodied exclusive bottling.

Founded in 1967, The GlenAllachie Distillery was long owned by an international corporation. In 2017, The GlenAllachie Distillers Company bought the distillery in Speyside – including the filled casks in the warehouse. Its new owners: long-standing Scottish whisky luminary Billy Walker and his partners Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson. The new team was introduced to the distillery's special features by long-time employees. Among them: the distillery has four stills and two separate spirit safes – and can therefore produce two different distillates in parallel, for example peated and unpeated new make.

Until now, The GlenAllachie Distillery had produced almost exclusively for blended whiskies. Single malt, on the other hand, was extremely rare, for example through independent bottlers. This changed in 2017 with the takeover by Billy Walker's team. Age statements for its single malts are important to The GlenAllachie: the core range consists of a 10, 12, 18, and 25-year-old whisky. In addition, regular single cask and special bottlings are planned – and from 2018 even a peated whisky.

Around 50,000 different casks are stored in the warehouses of the GlenAllachie Distillery. Billy Walker is the master of this treasure trove of wood – co-owner of the distillery, master distiller, and industry icon with around 50 years of experience. Whatever he composes or selects promises supreme enjoyment. This is also true of a new Single Cask – exclusive to the German market.
