Collection: Dictador Brand Rum Colombia

Dictador

The Dictador brand combines ancient knowledge of Colombian distilleries with innovative European design and distinctive bottles. The company is already run by the third generation and has set itself the goal of conquering the European market with high-quality rum. The fact that the product convinces not only through a beautiful appearance but above all through quality is evidenced by various awards the distillery has received in recent years.

Dictador has long since become one of the most popular rum brands among connoisseurs worldwide. The high quality standard is reflected in its diverse flavor nuances, which can fully develop during the at least 20 years of aging using the Solera method. With Dictador Rum, you embark on a flavorful journey to the white sandy beaches and palm trees of the Colombian Caribbean coast. Dictador stands for Colombian rum like no other brand from the South American country. The reason is not only the seductive deep black bottle, which feels so solid and smooth in the hand that you don’t want to put it down. The reason is, of course, also this unique taste that makes you believe Colombia has packed all its treasures into the barrel. The Dictador Solera 20 Rum achieves this by relying not on molasses but on Virgin Sugar Cane Honey, a thick sugarcane juice reminiscent of spicy honey. It is partially distilled in copper pot stills and partially in stainless steel columns and then aged in the Solera system. Solera means that rums of different ages are blended together according to a special method. However, Dictador does not label the bottle with the oldest portion as is usually the case, but with the average age. This means that the Dictador 20 actually contains rum up to 24 years old in the bottle. A considerable age and a very long time to absorb the taste of Colombia.
