Springbank: The flagship is simply called Springbank - and is fondly referred to as "the Maritime" because of its legendary salty note. Lightly peated and distilled 2.5 times, this single malt was first bottled in 1828 and is now available in 10, 12, 15, 18, and 21-year-old expressions. Each individual bottling is a unique taste experience: in the 10-year-matured edition, for example, the aroma plays with the flavor of sweet fruit and honey, varying it in an inimitable way with a fine peaty note. Completely balanced on the palate, with a deep yet unobtrusive malt nuance and an ever-present smoky note, this whisky has a long and elegant finish.  Cask Strength.
