Switzerland Czech Republic "border package"
there are some customers for whom it is worth having delivery made to a special parcel company near their own border (companies offering this include, for example, Grenzpaket)
and collecting the goods there yourself and taking them home in your car trunk. In special cases, it may be worth using free German shipping from 150 euros, but you then have to pay German VAT of 19%, whereas for delivery to Switzerland, for example, this tax is not included, but higher shipping costs apply, along with low Swiss VAT but also significant alcohol tax.

Order goods to the hotel
Some people have their desired bottles delivered to their hotel during a longer holiday. Here too, the VAT of the holiday country must be taken into account and weighed against the savings on shipping costs. Of course, delivery would then be much faster if you use Germany or nearby neighboring countries. This makes perfect sense for, for example, Nordic countries whose residents holiday in Rostock (not far by ferry). There are also many Koreans who go on skiing holidays in the Czech Republic. But for short holidays, you should bear in mind that you never know exactly how long DHL will take to deliver. That would require thorough preparation, such as definitely asking the hotel IN ADVANCE whether they agree to this.
