This limited edition is a tribute to the great sherry tradition of the historic blending city of Perth and brings together five casks of selected Speyside single malts, fully matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez butts and hogsheads. The result is a blended malt of impressive depth and opulence: rich, sweet, and full-bodied without losing any elegance. Bottled at a robust 54,3% vol., naturally non-chill filtered and with no added coloring, Old Perth PX stands for uncompromising sherry enjoyment and artisanal precision. This Limited Edition #2 is an expressive testament to why Old Perth is regarded as the epitome of sherry-driven whiskies - intense, luxurious, and unmistakable. 

At the beginning of the year, Morrison Distillers completely reinvented the Old Perth range. Only the finest sherry casks from the Speyside Glenlivet region are selected for the Old Perth blend. After all, this series is intended not only to honor the history of the city of Perth as a stronghold of blended whiskey, but also the venerable Old Perth brand, which originated shortly after 1900. Waiting is often a crucial factor for quality in the world of whisky; for example, the Old Perth 12 Years demonstrates this impressively. While the ageless Old Perth Original is already a wonderful easy-drinking whisky for any occasion, its bigger brother is a voluminous, very dense, and complex whisky. Its origin, Speyside, is not overshadowed by maturation in Oloroso and a few PX casks, but wonderfully highlighted.The Morrison family is back in the distillery business. After the Morrison family, represented by Brian Morrison, sold the Bowmore, Auchentoshan, and Glan Garioch whisky distilleries to Suntory in the mid-90s, they have now re-entered the whisky scene as distillery operators.
