Nose: Palate: Finish :
an intense smokiness, fruity-sweet, medicinal notes, dates wrapped in bacon,
Lapsang Souchong, cellar apple and canned pear. Adding a little water intensifies the fruity aromas of canned pear; earthy, wet leaves.
This bottling comes from a single cask that previously contained Pedro Ximénez sherry. The whisky matured continuously in the cask, which was filled with new make made from barley malt dried with intense peat smoke.
