The long-awaited new release of Ron Maximo Gomez from the Islay whisky cask. Here Dominican rum from the sherry cask meets rum from Central America, Cuba.  This blend matures for 5 years in a Quarter Cask from the whisky island of Islay at Schollenberger in the barrel warehouse of the port office on the Baltic Sea. The oldest components in this marriage are at least 13 years old. The youngest components have at least 8 years under their belt. This rum is our liquid monument to Maximo Gomez, the freedom fighter for Cuba born in Hispaniola, and our promise of quality for rum lovers. This cask was filled by hand without coloring or filtration into 219 limited and numbered attractive bottles.
