Finish: Long, warming. Gentle peat smoke, fine spice notes, lingering sherry sweetness, harmonious finish.

Three years ago, the Mac-Talla Pedro Ximénez Limited Edition was released, a bottling that sold out within a very short time. The combination of robust smoky Islay single malt and the opulent sweetness of Pedro Ximénez sherry from Andalusia struck exactly the right note - and disappeared from the market faster than many could react.
The quantity was limited, the demand remained. Since then, the same question has been asked again and again: Is the Mac-Talla PX coming back? Now the answer is here. With Mac-Talla PX 2.0, Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers is launching the long-awaited new edition - powerful, dark, smoky, and deeply rooted in the character of Islay. From the rugged coasts of Islay, this whisky carries the unmistakable signature of the island: distinctive peat smoke, shaped by maturation in rich Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The result is an intense yet harmonious single malt that combines sweetness and smoke in an impressive way.

The whisky was bottled at a full-bodied 52.80% vol. and is, of course, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring.

As one of Scotland's oldest whisky families, the Morrisons have had a strong presence on Islay for five generations. Mac-Talla, which means "Echo" in Scottish Gaelic, perfectly reflects the Morrison family's connection with Islay, to which they return again and again to the famous whisky island.
