Nose: bright and lively start with notes of green apples, broom bushes, wine gums, and a mineral note.
Palate: well balanced with a hint of peat smoke and sweet notes of icing sugar and white chocolate. Notes of tomato plants, sunflower seeds, and linseed oil develop.
Finish: notes of honey and gooseberries.
Springbank: The flagship is simply called Springbank - and is often referred to as "the Maritime" because of its legendary salty note. Lightly peated and distilled 2.5 times, this single malt was first bottled in 1828 and is now available in the 10, 12, 15, 18, and 21 year-old expressions. Each individual bottling is a unique taste experience: in the 10-year-old edition, for example, the aroma plays with the flavor of sweet fruits and honey and varies it in an inimitable way with a fine peaty note. Perfectly balanced on the palate, with a deep yet unobtrusive malt nuance and an ever-present smoky note, this whisky has a long and elegant finish. Cask Strength.
