The HD distillery uses 9 different marques to categorize its rums by ester content. For example, the marque DOK was named after former employee and shareholder Dermot Owen Kelly-Lawsen. Today, when people talk about a DOK, they automatically mean the distillery's rum with the highest permitted ester content that may still be exported. DOK is also among the extremely flavorful and particularly "funky" types of rum. Our bottling therefore not only makes our hearts beat faster, but also those of DOK connoisseurs.

This exceptional rum was distilled in 2014 in the Double Retort Pot Still at Hampden Distillery (Mark: with 900-1000 gr/hL AA Ester) and first matured for 4 years in Jamaica and a further 7 years in Europe. After a total of 11 years of maturation in an ex-bourbon cask, this rum delivers an impressive spectrum of aromas and transports everything we value and love so much about Hampden rums.
