Nose: pleasant fruitiness and slightly sweet honey notes on the nose. After a few minutes in the glass, it unfolds its full personality. 

Taste:  a colorful basket of tropical fruit spreads out, complemented by complex notes from the oak cask and rounded off by the mild sweetness of honey.

Finish : A true palate pleaser, whose style is almost reminiscent of the legendary Rockley style from Barbados.

A unique rum from Barbados.  Why unique? Rum from Barbados is something almost everyone has in their range... But a single cask from the world's oldest still active rum distillery, Mount Gay, is now extremely rare and very hard to get hold of. We were lucky enough to be allowed to select a cask bearing the mark "BMMG," which stands for "Barbados Main Mount Gay." chr2026

The rum was distilled in 2000 using the pot still method at Mount Gay. As usual in Barbados, the base material is molasses. The rum was then matured under continental conditions and bottled after 21 years.

In terms of aroma, the rum impresses with a pleasant fruitiness and slightly sweet honey note on the nose. After a few minutes in the glass, it unfolds its full personality. A colorful basket of tropical fruit spreads out, complemented by complex notes from the oak cask and rounded off by the mild sweetness of honey. Since resource-saving sustainability is an important aspect for us in the design of the Rum Club bottlings, we do not use an additional outer carton. This allows us to donate € 3 per bottle to a charitable cause. The donation purpose is selected individually for each bottling and communicated via the Facebook page. 

The donation from the first bottling in 2022, the legendary Guyana 1994 REV, went to the great project "10,000 Trees for the Harz," in which reforested areas in the Harz are intended to provide a habitat for various forest inhabitants. More details about the project can be found HERE.
