12-year maturation on Barbados in the Caribbean, Molasses rum in the British style – i.e. a particularly powerful and spicy character, exciting aromas of licorice, mandarin, vanilla, and dark chocolate develop after some time

The renowned Foursquare Distillery is one of the most advanced rum distilleries in the world and is located on Barbados, the easternmost island of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean. After lying dormant for several years, it was brought back to life and modernized from the ground up.

As is typical for rums from Foursquare Distillery, this one is also a blend of a column still and a pot still rum. The special marrying of these two different rums takes place before maturation. This takes place in ex-bourbon casks on Barbados and lasts around 12 years. The bottling is done without chill filtration and without coloring or other additives.

Rum Artesanal Barbados Single Cask Rum is a molasses rum in the British style, i.e. the rum has a particularly powerful and spicy character. For the ideal tasting experience, you should wait a little at first, because the rum needs some time to fully open up. But then exciting aromas of licorice, mandarin, vanilla, and dark chocolate emerge.   From an independent bottler from Germany
