Nose   at first fruity aromas of mango, apple and a little banana, followed by fleeting notes paired with delicate tobacco notes. complex on the second then nuts, finest wood and leather,

Palate powerful complexity,  delicate esters, accompanied by wood and fruity notes. With every sip you perceive more aromas. 

Jamaica, the “holy grail” for many rum fans. Few other countries of origin are discussed so much; no rum polarizes as much as bottlings from Jamaica (perhaps aside from Caroni rums and Rockley Still rums). But back to this bottling. Rums this old will probably not often end up in our glasses anymore. All the nicer that we have sourced this rarity from 1982 for you. This rum is a blend of pot still and column still rums. We bottled it at cask strength. At 45,1 % vol. this is quite low, some may be surprised. But this is the actually determined cask strength; the proof was not subsequently reduced. red box
