PALATE fine sweetness, powerful spicy herbal blend, fruit,  vanilla.

FINISH: long, spicy, herbs, smoke, wood and a hint of bitterness.


Fiji is an archipelago in the southwest Pacific, consisting of 332 islands, of which 110 are inhabited, and lies approx. 2100 kilometers north of New Zealand. Sugar cane is the most important agricultural product - the perfect basis for unique rum. This single cask bottling was distilled in March 2001 at the South Pacific Distillery in a Single Pot Still and now, 22 years later, bottled without the addition of coloring and without chill filtration. FIJI RUM 2001 by Rum Artesanal b LIMITED to 225 bottles. 

After opening, a powerful nose quickly emerges, with fruity and herbal aromas, accompanied by notes of glue. After about half an hour in the glass, notes of papaya, pineapple and green olives come through at the back, along with glue again as well as spicy aromas. On the palate, a fine sweetness stands out, but it is very fleeting; then comes a powerful, spicy herbal blend, the fruit again, and a hint of vanilla. The spicy finish is long-lasting with herbs, smoke, wood and a hint of bitterness.
