Nose: An elegant and balanced profile of wood, allspice, and fruit combined with a beautiful blend of honey, orange blossom, blackcurrants, coconut, and vanilla. Later, aromas of bananas, apricots, and nuts develop, with some floral notes.

Palate A rich flavor with initial notes of varnish, pineapple, and plum cake. As it develops, it becomes increasingly fruity with a hint of pepper, sour cherries, gooseberries, and delicate rose petals.

Finish: Long, fruity vanilla.

Plantation Rum Guatemala 4 Years Red Pineau des Charentes Single Cask Finish 2022 is part of the annually released Single Cask series of Plantation Rum bottlings from Ferrand. Ferrand has made a name for itself in the rum segment with its double-ageing process, as this method gives the rum enormous complexity and intensity. Plantation Rum Guatemala 4 Years Red Pineau des Charentes Single Cask Finish 2022 is first matured for 2 years in ex-Bourbon barrels and then shipped to France. There, the rum is refined for a further 12 months in former Ferrand casks. Afterwards, Plantation Rum Guatemala 4 Years Red Pineau des Charentes Single Cask Finish 2022 received a third maturation of 4 months in red Pineau des Charentes wine casks. Plantation Rum Guatemala 4 Years Red Pineau des Charentes Single Cask Finish 2022 is bottled at 42.9% vol.

Nose : Elegant and balanced profile of wood, allspice and fruits, a nice mixture of honey, orange blossom, black currant, coconut and vanilla . Then it evolves on banana, apricot and nuts with some flowery notes.

Palate : Rich, first sips show some varnish, pineapple and plum cake. The next ones are even fruitier with hints of sour cherry and gooseberry with delicate rose petals balanced by more peppery notes.

The Plantation Single Cask Rums are limited editions of double-aged Haute Couture rums. The fine spirits first mature in former Bourbon barrels in a tropical climate before receiving their finish in ex-Ferrand casks made of French oak. This takes place in the southwest of France. Alexandre Gabriel, who was named the world's best Master Blender in 2012, always carefully selects the casks for the secondary maturation. They usually previously held wine, another type of spirit, or even beer. The type of cask used is chosen individually for each rum to highlight its unique character.
